We have just got back from the specialist. There are a lot of things going on with my body. It is baffling quite a few people at this stage.

So my symptoms are clicking ribs (possibly fractures), decreased mobility, lethargy, peripheral neuropathy (in this case, sensation of feet feeling hot, but really they are normal temp), aching muscles, hair rapidly falling out in the last week and sleep deprivation. The rib pain has been the most debilitating. I have been confined to the house really since yesterday morning until I went to the hospital today.

My bone density results I had a month or so showed that I have osteoporosis. I am in the lowest 26th percentile of people my age for bone density. It doesn’t really explain my pelvis fractures and usually this would occur in the lower 5th percentile. It may explain my rib fractures. So I will be put on a drug after another scan this week. It is usually given to people once a year but I will be having it every three months.

I will be re-staged next week. This will involve a full body MRI and another biopsy. I had bloods done today. I am also now on stronger painkillers. I think they have kicked in now so I am feeling very nice thank you. Things are moving pretty rapidly now so we are pretty happy with the way things are going.

Cam your doing a really great job, and everyone is proud to be walking along side you. The osteoporosis is definently a kick in the pants, but the more answers you get the better. Love you lots Cam, spend a lot of my time thinking and praying for you so I am hoping you can feel some serious cousinly vibes coming your way. In the meantime, ask Elizabeth to swing by and pick up some spring rolls from Viet Hoa, they are an excellent chinese remedy. xxxx

Cam. havn’t had much contact over the years since you folk left for the city. Your father was a great dicipler for me in years past and we still see each other when he visits Albany. We wish you well with your battle Cam and pray that your strength and understanding will prerevail. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
