‘Remission’ - now THERE’S a word that makes getting out of bed on Monday all the worth it!
You’ve conveyed your appreciation and admiration of Dr Brad so effectively, I wanna meet him (preferably over the phone, or at the footy rather than in his office, if you take my meaning…)
Good post, Camo.

super duper fabulous news cam and liz - thrilled for you both. i’m sure Dr Brad has some kind of idea about your appreciation of him and his care of you, your not one to hide your feelings and I’m sure having a patient like you has made doing what he does all the more worthwhile for him.
have a great week

Hey Cam
I know EXACTLY what you mean, and there are really no words to adequately describe the relationship we develop with our doctors. I adore mine as well and KNOW that he wants me to be well. I am so happy you have done so well, it encourages me. I am now 5 weeks out from my transplant and feeling awesome. I can’t believe I’ve felt so shitty this past year when on chemo and just got used to it!! Amazing how we adapt. Keep up the good work and take care of yourself.

I can already visualize this Dr Brad, swaggering into the consultation room, top 3 buttons of his shirt undo, gold medallion swaying through a lush carpet of chest hair having freshly taken 8/74 vs the West Indies, his secretary handing him your charts (to which she promptly swoons) and him announcing with a deep, baritone voice “Cam, I may own the current land speed record as well as the 100m and 200mm world pool sprint records as well as donate 99.99% of my gross income to children in need, but you, my friend, are the true hero.” He then crumples up the clipboard in one hand, his biceps moving like greased hamsters under a silk sheet and then rapples out the 5th floor window to fight crime and sort out the current teacher pay strike.

So pleased to read your last blog - very exciting and an answer to prayer. We will continue to pray for you and Liz, your family and Dr. Brad!
