The results are still not back from pathology yet, so we will not find out until at least Monday.

Cam does your Dr Brad ever discuss bortezomib (Velcade) or lenalidamide (Revlimid) with you just out of curiosity don’t answer if you don’t want to.

Sharon, yep, if this is mass does turn out to be a cytoma again, I will put onto Revlimid three weeks on, one week off, forever it seems. I now qualify since Thalidomide doesn’t seem to be an option anymore. From the research, Revlimid seems to be highly effective. Velcade is always being talked about in respect to blood cancers, but it hasn’t been on my menu just yet.

Thanks to everyone for your support, prayers and patience. I can honestly say that I am feeling the best I have for a very long time, so I remain hopeful about the negative result of this biopsy. There are still things to be sorted, but any change to the recent diagnosis of tumor would most likely be positive.

Hey Cam
I was on revlamid for 8 months before my BMT because Thal didn’t work for me. Actually after being on Thal for 4 months my Igg levels went UP! So he put me on the Revlamid and it worked like a charm, getting the numbers down enough to have the transplant. When diagnosed I had 65% myeloma cells and it brought the numbers down ALOT. Hopefully it will work for you and I had no side effects except for that dastardly fatigue and not much appetite. I’m working on the weight thing but I’m weighing in at a HUGE 95 pounds these days. Never thought gaining weight would be an issue!!

Cam I am 10mths in remission with no major side effects on Revlimid the only side effects i have are from the Dex and Jan if you are on Dex you wont have any problem putting weight on. I am praying by the time this stops working they will discover a new and improved drug. At the last myeloma siminar i went to they were talking about it being chronic instead of fatal
I am praying for the blood clot Cam.
